Turkey's Mecca Agreement Clarified
The news report discusses the Mecca Agreement for Collective Defense signed between Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, aimed at enhancing military and security cooperation in the Middle East and Asia. The Turkish Ministry of Defense affirms that the agreement is not a substitute for NATO, nor does it target any country; its goal is to improve coordination and address shared security challenges. Both sides or other countries can join in the future, and military support can be provided in times of crises, thereby strengthening regional defense cooperation and boosting a coordinated response to regional security threats.
