Finance Committee: Ministry leads 2027 budget prep
The Parliamentary Finance Committee has confirmed that the Ministry of Finance has begun preparing the 2027 budget and is working on its finalization in collaboration with the committee, several ministries, and regional representatives. The government aims to issue the budget quickly to enable financial stability, determine the exchange rate, the price of a barrel of oil, and export mechanisms, especially given the country's difficult financial situation caused by declining oil exports. The budget is scheduled to be submitted to Parliament for approval before October 15, along with efforts to resolve issues related to raises and allowances within the upcoming year's budget. Additionally, an agreement has been reached to pass legislation on grants and borrowing, which will be presented to Parliament next week to bolster financial stability.
