Dhi Qar school crisis persists
The ongoing shortage of school buildings in Dhi Qar has been revealed despite the addition of 200 new schools, as the deficit exceeds 700 structures. The education sector faces challenges from overcrowding, aging facilities, and inadequate textbook provisions, all of which hinder the stability of the educational process. The union has called for the formation of a central authority for school construction and for increased cooperation between government ministries and community organizations to address the building shortage crisis. They also warned that the rising dropout rate poses a significant threat to society.
