Trump suggests naming oceans after himself
During a campaign rally in Tennessee, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he proposes to rename the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean as the "Trump Ocean" or "Americas Ocean," as part of efforts to leave an American mark on geographical names. He pointed to his previous decisions to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the "America Gulf" and Lake Ontario as "America Lake," and he also hinted at his desire to rename the Hudson and Mississippi Rivers before leaving office. However, he ruled out changing the names of the Hudson and Mississippi Rivers for electoral reasons.
