The international coalition affirmed that the conclusion of the "Enduring Shield" operation in Iraq is a significant achievement, and that the responsibility for preventing the return and resurgence of ISIS lies with the Iraqi authorities. This was stated during a ministerial meeting in Rome, attended by the United States and Italy, where efforts to combat terrorism and strengthen national capabilities in Iraq and Syria were emphasized. Additionally, a financial support of over $75 million was announced to confront the organization, address its root causes, and maintain essential services for displaced persons and detainees. The participants also underscored the importance of international cooperation to protect security gains and prevent ISIS from re-establishing itself in the region.
