Agriculture Ministry reports stable fish prices
The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed that the measures it has implemented have led to a noticeable stabilization in fish prices in local markets. This was achieved through supporting fish production projects in Baghdad and the provinces, as well as releasing 155 million fingerlings of various sizes into water bodies and rivers. These steps have contributed to strengthening the fish stock, increasing production and supply, which in turn has helped reduce price fluctuations and ensure the availability of fish for consumers. This comes as part of efforts to support the sector in achieving price stability and meeting the local demand for food, particularly animal protein, thereby enhancing the country's food security.
