Iraqi Regions Face Storm Warnings
The General Authority of Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring warns of thunderstorms and clouds accompanied by downdraft winds stirring dust in several Iraqi regions, with the possibility of rain continuing until Thursday morning. Forecasts indicate cumulonimbus clouds over Najaf, with variable rainfall intensity and winds that may locally kick up dust. The effects are expected to extend to Babil, Diyala, and Wasit governorates, as well as southern Baghdad, with a chance of thunder showers in some northern cities. The authority urges citizens to exercise caution against lightning and downdraft winds, especially due to the potential for dust storms and reduced visibility.
