Jordan Crisis Center on siren alerts

The national warning message system in Jordan is not a replacement for sirens; rather, it is an additional early warning tool designed to deliver accurate information quickly to citizens during crises and disasters. Since Spring 2024, the National Center for Security and Crisis Management has been conducting trials of the warning system. Current trials confirm its effectiveness in sending messages even in silent modes. The center has received feedback from citizens regarding the alert tone and the media handling of misinformation. The system aims to enhance trust in government procedures and reduce losses and damages during emergencies.
