Jordan to phase out practical exam
The Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Directorate in Jordan is approaching the abolition of the practical driving test for licenses, as smart electronic technologies will be adopted to assess applicants' performance instead of traditional examinations. The director of the department mentioned that this project is in its final stages and will utilize technology to monitor the delivery of training sessions, including automated assessment of the theoretical exam. He also emphasized an increase in the number of licenses issued during the first half of the year compared to the same period last year, along with a rise in the passing rate from 25% to 35%. This move is part of an effort to update driving test systems and improve training quality, with a focus on employing smart tools and reducing reliance on manual training.
