Government plans to phase out paper files
The Jordanian government announced its approval of a draft amended regulation for the use of electronic means in civil judicial procedures for the year 2026, in preparation for its official issuance. The system aims to develop and accelerate the litigation process by relying on electronic tools, including the use of visual and audio communication technologies in court sessions and procedures, and to eliminate the need for paper-based documentation in case files. Upon implementation, it will lead to the complete elimination of paper files within the courts, thereby simplifying procedures and enhancing the efficiency of justice in Jordan.
