Judge links West Bank violence to occupation
Speaker of the House of Representatives Mazen Al-Qadi spoke of a serious and systematic escalation by the settlers against the Palestinians in the West Bank, including incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, expansion of settlements, burning homes and agricultural lands. This constitutes a blatant violation of international law and amounts to state terrorism. He called on the international community, especially the Security Council and the United Nations, to take urgent measures to hold Israel accountable and to halt these policies that increase tension in the region. He emphasized that these violations threaten security and stability and hinder the achievement of a just peace.
