Al-Raqab urges Parliament Legal Committee to disband
Deputy Ahmed Al-Rqeeb urged the Legal Committee in the House of Representatives to dissolve itself after disagreements over adding the phrase "railway" to the definition of roads in the Real Estate Law draft. This raises concerns about permitting the government to seize a quarter of the land along railway lines without compensating the owners. Members of Parliament commented on this issue; some considered the solution illogical, while others criticized the idea of dissolving the Legal Committee itself, deeming it impractical.
