Egyptian flight attendant suspended
A video circulated showing an Egyptian flight attendant uttering offensive words about the residents of Sohag Governorate, which prompted intervention from the authorities. As a result, the airline "Air Cairo" suspended the flight attendant for investigation and took immediate administrative measures against her, emphasizing that her behavior was personal and did not reflect the company's values or principles. Additionally, EgyptAir denied any connection between the woman and their staff, reaffirming their full respect for all citizens. On the legal level, the Sohag Lawyers Syndicate announced that it has filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor against the flight attendant due to her offensive remarks, calling for the necessary legal actions to be taken. They expressed their rejection of any discrimination or bullying against the people of Upper Egypt, pointing out that freedom of expression must remain within the limits of the law and in respect of citizens’ dignity.
