Jordan promotes celestial investment
The article highlights Jordan's astronomical wealth, represented by its clear night skies, which are among the clearest in the region and provide a unique environment for observing stars and galaxies. Experts confirm that Wadi Rum, with a sky darkness index of 21.59, is one of the best sites for sky observation and features geological terrains resembling the surface of the Moon, making it an ideal location for scientific simulation programs and space training. The article also warns of light pollution that threatens the quality of the sky and suggests developing a national strategy to protect the dark skies. This opens the door for Jordan to attract investment in astronomical tourism and scientific research, enhancing its position on the global space map.
