It reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of good neighborliness, sovereignty of states, and non-interference in their internal affairs. The Iraqi Security Council decided to implement a comprehensive security plan to safeguard national sovereignty, while the government reiterated its commitment to regional stability and contributing to the maintenance of regional and international security. It was also reported that the scheduled meeting in Jeddah between the Iraqi Prime Minister and the Saudi Crown Prince was canceled. Meanwhile, Saudi forces, in coordination with American forces, carried out strikes targeting locations affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq, which the kingdom linked to attacks on Saudi oil facilities.
