Gasoline and diesel prices may rise next month
Expectations of Fuel Price Increases in Jordan Next Month Due to Rising Global Oil Prices Amid Ongoing Geopolitical Tensions in the Region. Although fuel prices are currently fixed, data indicates that the average Brent crude price has reached $86.1 per barrel, compared to $107.6 a month ago, with the government bearing a significant portion of the differences. Gasoline and diesel prices are likely to increase by about 4 to 5 piastres per liter if current price levels persist, with potential government intervention to mitigate these increases. Meanwhile, prices of petroleum derivatives remain influenced by geopolitical fluctuations and high operational costs.
