The Iraqi government confirmed that Iraq did not approve the American-Saudi strikes on its territory and was not previously informed about them, despite U.S. President Donald Trump's claims of direct coordination with the Iraqi government to carry out military operations targeting armed factions within Iraq. Following those strikes, the Iraqi government suspended its visit to Saudi Arabia and requested Riyadh to provide evidence regarding the allegations against Popular Mobilization Forces factions for carrying out drone attacks on Saudi facilities. Iraq also demanded permission to access security information to verify the evidence, noting that investigations have not yet proven the validity of those accusations.
