The article discussed the draft agreement issued by Hamas and Palestinian factions regarding the regulation of resistance weaponry in the Gaza Strip, which they have approved. The draft stipulates a gradual and monitored process for collecting and storing weapons to be carried out within 14 days, with the possibility of extension based on approval from the International Verification Committee and the Roadmap. It emphasizes that the management of the weapon collection process will be handled by a national committee, which will be the sole authority responsible for controlling weapons in Gaza, with Palestinian factions participating and the process overseen by an international force. Furthermore, the draft links the start of the implementation process to a gradual Israeli withdrawal from the controlled areas, and ties its completion to an overall pathway for implementing the peace plan, aiming to achieve self-determination and establish a Palestinian state. This process aims to reduce tensions, ensure international oversight of resistance weapons, and confirm that the surrender or transfer of weapons to Israel or non-Palestinian entities is not permitted.
