The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) issued an official statement in response to criticisms regarding the proposed creation of a new entity under FIFA's umbrella, operated through private investment, known as FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE). The project aims to transfer some of FIFA's commercial activities to a subsidiary that it owns and manages permanently, with revenue being distributed to 211 national associations worldwide. Each association will receive 20 million dollars during the period from 2027 to 2030 to support the development of football in their respective countries. The federation confirmed that the project seeks to enhance active participation of associations in managing commercial opportunities, while ensuring that FIFA’s governance principles remain unaffected. It also stated that the project will only be implemented with the approval of the majority of regional associations, and dismissed any notions of selling football or relinquishing control.
