The article discusses developments related to the armament of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian factions have agreed on a draft agreement to regulate the gradual collection and storage of weapons, conditioned upon Israel's withdrawal, Palestinian administration of the Gaza Strip, and international oversight of the implementation. Hamas confirmed that disarmament would not occur before Israel's withdrawal from the territory, and that the process of collecting and storing weapons would be managed by a national committee, with a commitment not to transfer weapons to any non-Palestinian entity. The United States emphasizes that disarmament will be carried out in phases and in cooperation with Israel, with clear conditions and supervised oversight. Meanwhile, the plan faces challenges due to the gap between Hamas's demands and the American stance.
