The FTSE 100 index reached a new all-time high, climbing to 10,981.83 points after a 0.7% increase in the first half-hour of trading. Investors expect the psychological barrier of 11,000 points to be surpassed during today's session, marking a significant milestone in the market's performance. This comes alongside a 3.6% rise in NatWest Bank's shares following an upward revision of its financial outlook and an expansion of its share buyback plan, supported by a notable increase in profits. The record-breaking performance reflects ongoing positive momentum in the UK stock market, which is awaiting results from major companies and developments in the global economy.
