Asian stock indices surged strongly, with the South Korean "KOSPI" reaching its biggest single-session gain ever, soaring by up to 17% after a week of declines. This rally was driven by investors increasing their bets on artificial intelligence trade. Chinese markets also experienced notable rises, with over 7% gains in both the AI index and the "Star" Composite Index. The MSCI Asia ex-Japan index advanced by approximately 5%. Meanwhile, the Japanese "Nikkei 225" rose by 4%, supported by gains in real estate, banking, and textiles sectors, following a significant boost in chip stocks on Wall Street.
