Eight countries, including Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Egypt, condemned Israel's rejection of the roadmap prepared by the U.S. administration to end the Gaza conflict and to efforts aimed at establishing a Palestinian state. They emphasized that this rejection hinders the implementation of the plan and threatens a just and lasting peace in the region, reaffirming Israel's responsibility in obstructing peace efforts and stressing the need for the full and immediate implementation of the plan to address the humanitarian situation and realize an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders. They called on the member states of the Peace Council to support the efforts for implementation and to prevent any additional obstacles.
