Super Cup prep tests VAR readiness
The Jordan Football Association conducted a trial match at Amman International Stadium between Al-Khudr Schools and English Schools to test the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, aiming to ensure its readiness before the start of the new football season. These tests are part of a series of technical and refereeing training sessions to guarantee the effective operation of the technology during official matches, especially in the Super Cup and Professional League. The implementation of VAR aims to enhance refereeing fairness and reduce errors, and it is expected to contribute to improved decision-making by referees and diminished criticism, as fans anticipate the start of the season and the official deployment of the technology.
