The Ministry of Health in Jordan has launched new clinics at Al Bashir Hospital and Prince Hamza Hospital to receive patients referred from health centers and other hospitals. The aim is to reduce wait times, which can sometimes reach up to 8 months, and to expedite the assessment of cases by specialized doctors. This new mechanism allows for immediate identification of the need for medical or surgical intervention and the reorganization of the patient’s care pathway, thereby improving resource allocation efficiency and enhancing the quality of care. The service targets new patients with medical conditions that require quick specialized evaluation, with a focus on improving patient conditions and reducing waiting times in high-pressure areas such as the capital, Amman, and Zarqa Governorate.
