King Abdullah II's visit to China is considered a significant step in strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries. The two sides plan to sign agreements and memoranda of understanding to expand cooperation in the fields of economy and development, ending 49 years of diplomatic relations between China and Jordan. The visit includes discussions on bilateral relations, Chinese support for Jordan in advancing its developmental path, maintaining its sovereignty, and backing the issues of Jerusalem and the Palestinians. It was also announced that China will become Jordan's largest trading partner by 2025, with trade growing by over 30% in the first quarter of this year. The two sides intend to expand cooperation across multiple sectors such as energy, technology, and green development, in addition to boosting joint projects in infrastructure and culture.
