Start of patient intake at new clinics in Bashir and Hamza
New clinics have been launched at Al-Bashir and Prince Hamza Hospitals to receive newly referred patients from health centers and hospitals. The aim is to reduce waiting times, which can sometimes extend up to 8 months, and to improve the speed at which patients reach specialists. These clinics, which include departments in internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, and gynecology, focus on evaluating cases on the same day or within a short period, and determining the appropriate medical intervention—whether surgical, therapeutic, or referral to another specialty. The initiative aims to organize the patient journey, minimize delays in diagnosis and treatment—especially for patients with new conditions requiring urgent assessment—without affecting those with regular follow-up appointments or ongoing treatments. It specifically targets areas experiencing high pressure on healthcare services.
