The Ministry of Water and Irrigation in Jordan has identified violations on main water pipelines in the Naour and Ma'an areas as part of a campaign to protect water sources. Four violations on pipelines in Naour were removed; these were being used to extract large quantities of water. The owners of the sites were identified, and legal measures were taken against them. In Ma'an, five violations involving pipelines supplying tanks used for car washing were detected. Additionally, 12 large tanks and three pumps were confiscated, and the necessary legal procedures have been completed.
