Production and Education for Employment expand projects for youth employment
The Information and Communications Technology Companies Association "Intaj" and the Jordanian Education for Employment Foundation collaborated on developing projects aimed at increasing youth readiness for work in the digital outsourcing sector and enhancing the capabilities of Jordanian tech companies to expand into international markets. The outcomes included an assessment of the capabilities of 51 Jordanian IT companies, selecting 10 companies to benefit from capacity-building programs, and a study of demand in the European Union and Gulf Cooperation Council markets for outsourcing services. Additionally, they assisted 6 companies in closing 12 commercial deals in Saudi Arabia and Oman. The partnership implemented 12 training programs that involved 341 young men and women, resulting in the employment of 158 graduates so far. The focus was on strengthening their competitive abilities and preparing them for digital outsourcing roles, in line with the objectives of the Economic Modernization Vision to increase employment opportunities and export potential in the technology sector.
