The Association of Travel Agencies and Tour Operators warned about the increasing incidents of individuals impersonating licensed companies by using their names and logos in order to scam citizens and seize their money. They urged the public to be cautious when dealing with any offers from persons requesting transfers of funds to wallets or personal accounts, and to verify the company's license and the beneficiary's name before making any payments. The association emphasized that using company logos does not confirm the identity of the caller, and that such scams damage the reputation of the tourism sector. They also stated that this constitutes a criminal offense subject to legal accountability.
