The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority announced the allocation of 172 scholarships for the region's students for the 2026-2027 academic year, aimed at empowering youth and linking educational outputs to the labor market. The scholarships cover technical and vocational diploma programs as well as BTEC specializations. They are distributed among Al-Balqa Applied University, Tafila Technical University, and Aqaba University of Technology, with a focus on fields that meet the region’s economic sector needs, such as Artificial Intelligence, Information Security, Civil Engineering, Culinary Arts Management, and Supply Chain Management. This expansion of the program comes as part of efforts to promote sustainable development and equip local talents to contribute to the job market, with the Authority covering full tuition costs for some programs. To be eligible, applicants must be Jordanian nationals and have obtained their high school diploma from the region.
