Official sources have revealed the issuance of decisions regarding the restructuring of the Boards of Trustees of public universities in Jordan. New presidents and members have been appointed to serve four-year terms, aimed at enhancing performance efficiency and developing academic and administrative work. The new formations include prominent academic and professional figures, such as Dr. Abdul Rauf Rwaibdeh as Chairman of the University of Jordan’s Board, Dr. Taysir Nuaimi as President of Yarmouk University, Dr. Youssef Al Qassous as President of Mu’tah University, among others. The goal is to activate the role of these boards in shaping public policies, improving higher education outcomes, and linking academic programs with the labor market. The boards will begin their tasks as soon as the royal decree is issued, with a focus on strengthening their role in oversight, evaluation, and supporting university presidents in achieving the strategic goals of education in the kingdom.
