The entrance fee to Dibeen Reserve has been raised from 2 dinars to 5 dinars in order to reduce the number of visitors and preserve the environment. Since the beginning of the year up to the end of August, about 10,000 bags of waste have been collected, and more than 25 campaigns have been implemented to stop illegal dumping. The reserve covers approximately 8,500 dunams and is home to hundreds of thousands of trees, although around 5,000 of them have dried out due to climate change. Certain areas have been closed off and new fences installed to protect the natural regeneration of the trees. Since the start of the year, roughly 24,000 people have visited the reserve, with visitation mainly concentrated during weekends, especially in April and May.
