The Jordanian court highlighted a case involving an Israeli traveler who was caught with prohibited items upon entering Jordan from Thailand. The authorities found sexual toys, steroids, and sexual honey valued at approximately 600 dinars. After filing a criminal case, a reconciliation was reached with the Customs Department, and fines were paid, leading to the dismissal of the criminal charge and the acquittal of the traveler from the tax smuggling accusation. A fine was imposed for customs smuggling, along with financial compensation. The case emphasizes that settlement and reconciliation with customs are among the procedures that can resolve smuggling cases in accordance with Customs Law, and that the case is dismissed upon completing the reconciliation.
