Polls have been raised regarding the appointment of presidents and members of the Boards of Trustees of private universities in Jordan. The decision is viewed as being made based on certain considerations related to rotational leadership and specific interests. It is mentioned that the appointment process is conducted through joint channels involving university owners and relevant government authorities, with differing appointment mechanisms between private and public universities. The private universities appoint leaders without the need for a direct royal decree, whereas public universities require a decision from the Council of Ministers with royal approval.
