The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan affirms its political commitment and serious readiness to transition to the mutual evaluation process for combating money laundering and terrorism financing, scheduled between 2027 and 2029. This was stated during a high-level meeting with a delegation from the Middle East and North Africa Financial Action Task Force (MENAFATF), where the importance of coordinating efforts to update legislation and institutional frameworks was emphasized. These efforts include updating legal frameworks and conducting a national risk assessment, all aimed at enhancing transparency and protecting the national economy. International officials praised Jordan's experience, especially after its successful removal from the grey list in 2023, affirming that Jordan serves as a model in translating political commitment into tangible results and achieving an advanced level of financial transparency.
