Asian Cup Possible Postponement
The article discusses the possibility of postponing the Asian Football Cup scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia in January 2024 to 2028, due to escalating military tensions and the ongoing Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, which raise concerns about the safety of participants and security in the region. The President of the Asian Football Confederation confirmed that a decision could be made by the end of November, depending on the security situation in the coming months. The rising tensions have sparked fears of canceling or delaying the tournament, which was set to be held in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Khobar. Despite the increasing security risks, preparations are ongoing.
