The “My City Cares” project has been launched in Jordan. Implemented by the Zaha Cultural Center under the supervision of the Ministry of Local Administration and with support from the Van Leer Foundation, it aims to help municipalities incorporate the needs of children and families into local planning and services. Ten municipalities will receive financial, technical, and knowledge-based support. The project includes five interventions: making streets safer for children and pedestrians; workplace nurseries; “Karamish” rooms for children aged 3 to 6; psychological well-being centers; and outdoor play areas for children aged 0 to 5. Applications will be accepted throughout December 2026. The results will be announced on February 21, 2027, and agreements with the winning municipalities will be signed on March 20.
