Isha Order Explained
Jordanian Minister of Awqaf Mohammad al-Khalayleh confirmed that the circulating notice about closing mosques after the evening prayer was genuine. He explained that it had been issued by an Awqaf directorate in a specific area to address a particular circumstance, based on old instructions, and was not a general ministry decision. He added that there was no objection to keeping mosques open after the evening prayer for Quran memorization sessions, lessons, and religious activities.
