Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesman Hossein Mohebbi said that forces had fired defensive shots in the Strait of Hormuz, and that they were responsible for most of the explosions heard near Qeshm Island. He claimed that a US aircraft had been damaged, without providing details. He added that restrictions on the range of Iranian missiles had been lifted. US President Donald Trump, meanwhile, said American forces had destroyed an Iranian air-defense facility within minutes, without specifying its location. Reports said explosions were heard near the Suza area on Qeshm and at Khamir Port, amid diplomatic efforts to prevent military operations from resuming.
