Trump to award Elon Musk top science medal
The White House announced that U.S. President Donald Trump intends to honor Elon Musk, alongside several major technology company leaders, with the highest scientific honor during a ceremony scheduled for today, Thursday. Musk will be awarded the National Medal of Science, the highest award in the field, in addition to recognizing Sergey Brin, Jensen Huang, and Lisa Su with other medals in acknowledgment of their contributions to scientific and technological innovation. This step comes as part of an effort to bolster the United States' position in innovation, despite previous tensions with Musk regarding government spending.
