Uganda Bus Crash Kills 20 Students and Leads to Government Ban on School Trips
A bus carrying students in Uganda crashed, resulting in the death of 20 students on Thursday evening as they were returning from a trip to the waterfalls in the eastern part of the country. According to initial investigations, the driver lost control of the bus, which was transporting them from "King David Junior" School in Kampala, causing it to overturn after colliding with a large rock. Authorities announced a ban on all school trips starting today, Friday, to prevent similar accidents. This comes as the community demands improvements in road safety standards amidst a rise in transportation accidents in the country due to poor maintenance and inadequate infrastructure.
