Lebanese University Staff Seek Full-Time Positions
The contracted professors at the Lebanese University are calling for the reactivation of Cabinet Resolution No. 17, issued on February 16, 2026, which stipulates the full-time employment for contracted lecturers. They emphasize that the time has come to complete the necessary procedures and include the file on the agenda. They have also issued a plea to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to submit the file to the General Secretariat of the Council and to follow up until its approval, holding the government responsible for any delays in implementing the decision. Additionally, the professors organized a sit-in in front of the Serail to demand an end to the waiting policy and the immediate full-time employment of contracted staff.
