Mahfouz Aims to Halt Iran's Influence
Elie Maalouf, head of the Change Movement, calls on the Lebanese government to act immediately to stop betting on Iranian influence before Iran regains its strength and reasserts its influence in the country. He emphasizes that any delay in implementing the decision to restrict arms only strengthens Iran’s maneuvers and gives it a chance to stay. He affirms that the current conflict is between those who dominate Beirut’s decision-making and those who seek to use the city for their own projects. He urges urgent measures to cut off Iran's path and to achieve a national initiative before Tehran regains control over Lebanon.
