GCC Supports Saudi Arabia Against Iraq Attacks
This article primarily addresses the escalation of military and political tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Saudi Arabia announced that it carried out strikes targeting oil facilities in Iraq in response to attacks by Iran-backed militias, which resulted in the deaths of civilians and damage to infrastructure. The Saudi Defense Ministry confirmed that these operations were acts of self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. Additionally, the Gulf Cooperation Council expressed its solidarity with Saudi Arabia and condemned the ongoing Iranian attacks and Iraqi militias, describing them as a threat to regional security and stability.
