Who is Edwige Diaz, French Senate Engineer
The article outlines the journey of Edwige Días, from being a young activist supporting Nicolas Sarkozy and working as an administrative assistant, to becoming a member of the Senate and the president of the National Rally group in the chamber. The significant transformation occurred after she joined the party in 2012 and worked in the Gironde department, where she faced several electoral defeats before achieving success in the 2022 elections by entering the National Assembly and taking on leadership positions within the party. Recently, she entered the Senate and assumed the chairmanship of the National Rally group, now comprising more than ten members. This move strengthens the party's parliamentary presence and aims to unify her diverse deputies, presenting a more powerful and effective image within the French Parliament, despite the challenges in making a substantial impact on the political landscape.
