Kats links incident to Netanyahu warnings
Reports indicated that the incident involving the "Fly Dubai" flight to Israel is related to security warnings issued by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli Ministry of Defense concerning a potential targeting of Israelis onboard the plane. However, officials confirmed that the intelligence information was general and not specific about an attempted attack, and there is no evidence that Israel had prior knowledge of the co-pilot's intention to carry out an attack. Preliminary investigations suggest that the co-pilot was planning to crash the aircraft with the aim of killing the passengers, possibly under the influence or direction of Iran, though there is no solid evidence to confirm this at present. The incident has raised questions about the availability of prior intelligence and Israel's level of preparedness to respond to such scenarios. Israel has assured that its security forces are on high alert, and that the elections will proceed as scheduled regardless of security conditions.
