Birds at risk in Beqaa
Lebanese security forces continue their efforts to combat illegal poaching in the Bekaa region, successfully intercepting and confiscating illegal tools and methods used for bird hunting. This includes nets, boxes containing live and dead birds, as well as adhesive substances and various hunting weapons. A Lebanese citizen was arrested on charges of using harmful materials and illegally manufacturing the substance used for hunting, with all confiscated materials being burned and destroyed inside his residence. The live birds were handed over to relevant associations. The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces reaffirmed their ongoing campaigns to crack down on illegal hunting practices and to protect ecological balance and natural resources.
