Saint Rfra Church inaugurated and altar consecrated in Ehden
The Church of Saint Rafka in Ehden was inaugurated and its altar consecrated in commemoration of Lawyer Tawfiq Maawad, in the presence of official and public figures. The church was built upon the initiative of the late’s daughter, Joya Maawad, and designed in the traditional Maronite style by engineer Ziad Makari, to match the spiritual and architectural character of Ehden. Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the sainthood of Saint Rafka, a relic from the Monastery of Mar Youssef – Jebertah was ceremoniously brought in for an exceptional visit, initiating a prayer procession. The church was opened to believers for prayer and blessing until evening.
