First Lebanese on Zayed Prize Committee
The Zayed Award for Human Fraternity has chosen Mrs. Nemat Aoun as the first Lebanese to join its judging panel for the 2027 edition. This panel includes distinguished global leaders such as former presidents, religious figures, and cultural leaders. The award aims to honor individuals and institutions making progress in promoting peace and cooperation among peoples through noble actions that transcend divisions and encourage unity. Recipients are awarded a cash prize of one million dollars. The award is rooted in the "Document of Human Fraternity" signed by Al-Azhar and the Vatican in 2019 to support the values of peace and shared coexistence.
